I am human and therefor creative. Pushing my imagination is what I like to do. Or pulling it from wherever.

Jeremine worked as an artist after finishing the Willem de Kooning Academy in Rotterdam in 1990. But life is a bitch and like many other talented artists she needed to make a living doing other things. Graphic design, presentation design, teaching, e-learning development. But even though all that requires creativity in some sense, and it’s all very interesting and rewarding, it’s by no means the same as making art.

So she’s back and her art is more unearthly and alienating than ever. But also lighter as if the darkness has been conquered. The figures, animals and flowers that inhabit her planet are no longer lonely creatures in an endless dessert, they found joy and secretely radiate fun.

Art should be easy and natural, but often it’s not. It gets pretentious. It becomes Art with a capital A. I want to just create. Without pretending it’s more than that.

All works are for sale as art prints either on canvas (different sizes are possible), paper or as giclée print.
